Hotglue is a “content-manipulation-system” that offers different approach to web-site making. Instead of being restricted by newspapers-like column layout the system allows free-hand 'drawing' and composition of the elements of a web-page. The new system is the tool for artists, creators, scientists and anyone seeking out for the freedom of artistic expression and experimentation by using a web-browser.
Hotglue is a CMS that allows intuitive and natural ways for creating original web-sites and arranging things on the pages. All - by simply adding elements directly to places of the screen where the author thought of them to be. The elements are not restrained by any predefined rules or grids – each of them is a free floating object that can be moved around the page, through the depth of other layers, individually edited, styled and even scripted (programmed). Pretty much like a cut-up collage. The user defines the structure and layout of the web-page dynamically - by dragging objects, copy/pasting data and uploading new files.
Most modern CMS systems are based on the idea of content being separated from the layout of a web-site. In order to relieve the pain of rearranging and adding new information to already existing publications websites are organized in grids of predefined blocks (templates), thus resembling a lot the layout of a news-tabloid.
